A New App to Lose Weight
We are hijacking the dopamine loop of social networks to help you lose weight.
In the Supportive app, you can receive dopamine from:

Why It Works
Having someone you trust look at your weight has a profound psychological effect. The more other people are watching your weight graph, the more it will tend toward your goal weight. Anecdotally, this seems to work among the early users who are brave enough to share their weight graph with someone else.
Feeling adventurous enough to give it a try? Get the app.
About
Built by David Yang and Aaron Iba, two software engineers who have struggled with weight, originally to help Aaron’s dad lose weight, it’s now being used by a few hundred early adopters.
This app is an experiment. Sharing one's weight graph requires vulnerability and accountability, and it's a new behavior that people can find to be uncomfortable at first. But it has been working for us and our friends & family, so we couldn't resist sharing it more widely.
We would love to hear what you think!
